I hope all of you were able to have as great a Christmas as we did! Max was in fantastic spirits through the whole holiday, even with 10 guests in and out of the house. I can assure you there was no spoiling going on. We were blessed to have Aaron's parents, my parents, my grandmother, aunt and uncle and brother all visiting this year. For visuals of the chaos I have included pics from our Wii bowling tournament. I will also be getting pics on from Christmas as I am able to receive them from the various cameras circulating around our house.
In the coming weeks Max, Nurse Fran, and I will be headed to FL for some time with our family down there. Hopefully, we will be able to catch up with everyone with the bustling of the holidays behind us.
As 2008 comes to a close Aaron and I look back and see how much we truly have to be thankful for. Max is finishing out the year much stronger in both body and spirit. He is a joyful child with so much to teach us. There is new and hopeful research on the horizon (for more info go to www.fsma.org). At the beginning of 2008 we couldn't help but feel that our journey with Max was going to be far to short. Now we are able to focus on the each step of the path without putting too much stock in the timespan. We look forward to making many happy memories in the coming year (and many years to follow).
Enjoy 2009 and thanks for keeping up with us!
Just to let you know we are praying for you,

Max and you are in our daily prayers and thoughts. We will continue to lift him up to our Lord to ease his discomfort. May the Virgin Mary be ever present with him and you.

I have been thinking about you all lately, and was so excited to read your latest blog. Please tell max that Katherine/KK said hello. Good luck with your fight for his chair!
